I have been wondering for a long time if rain benefits plants above and beyond the water I use from a hose (city water). I need a small staff of a dozen to help me carry out all the experiments I currently have in progress and the multitude of others I want to carry out. When it rains on my plants for days, eliminating the need for city water, I believe I can see a difference. It seems to me that plants prefer rain. If true, why?
I am installing massive rain catchers to have hundreds and hundreds of gallons for the coming months that will be hot.
